Mrs. L has been trying to get me to read Twilight for a while now – I was hesitant about a book that involved vampires – something about vampires functioning in normal society was just a little off-putting to me…..well, I finally caved in and have gotten HOOKED! These vampires are a little different than your ordinary vampires (is that an oxymoron? are there really ordinary vampires?). I actually just finished the second book in the series last night – another page turner….I am looking forward to reading the next 2!
Twilight is one of my favorite books. Personally I think it’s better than Harry Potter. Twilight is about Bella(the main character) meeting the vampire and her finding out that she is abosolutely in love with him, but he probably wants to suck her guts out. The 2nd book, New Moon(My fav) is about the vampire leaving Bella and shes all heart broken because he left her. She meets very diffrent people who are the complete oppsite of vampires!! The groups actually have a feud and now Bella is in it. Those are the first two books. But belive me once you pick that book up you won’t be able put it down.
I am Edward Cullen’s NUMBER ONE FAN! I think I might be on the border of obsession.
Seriously, if you have not read this series, you MUST do so! I have met people who don’t consider themselves “readers”, told them about this series, and turned them on to the world of BOOKS.
Stephenie Meyer is truly a talented writer who makes you feel like you are personally connected to the characters in the story. WHAT AN AWESOME READ!!!!
The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer is THE best series of this era. I cannot imgine what life would be like without the unpredictable world of Bella Swan (even though ‘Cullen’ just sounds like a better last name for her). Every book in the series is deeply profound. Each one is full of surprising twists and turns that make the story even more interesting. I advise everyone to read the books.

Guys, what wonderful dialogue! I loved her book, The Host, as well, which is not part of this series. What other books are you reading or have read that you would like to discuss?
Wood,
If you love a reading adventure like I think you love a reading adventure, you must read Twilight. Twilight starts by delving into the life of Bella Swann, a junior in high school. Things really kick up a notch when she falls for Edward, a vampire, who feels strongly about her but always wants her blood. I know gory, but in reality, these vampires are really very different from traditional views of vampires. New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn, the books following Twilight, literary have danger or heartbreaks at every corner. See what the others commented regarding this series.
I read Inkheart last year, here’s what it’s about. It’s about a girl, Meggy and her father Mo. One night Mo was reading Inkheart to his wife, suddedly his wife and three cats went into the book and Dustfinger,Basta, and Cappricorn came out. I think Inkheart is a really good book. It’s got suspence , mild peril , and a little violence in it to,it makes you won’t to keep reading. there wasn’t really any cusing or brutal violence thet I can reamber.
