Radical Readers Upcoming Events

By dlancaster

October meeting date: Tuesday, October 28.  We can meet from 3:30-5:00, 4:00-5:30, or 4:30-6.  Post your pick.  We will meet at Cubbies… thank you Mr. DA Ballou!

October books: We just couldn’t decide on one, so we picked 4.  Our group is large enough to accomodate this strategy.  You may read one of the four, two of the four, three of the four, or all four and plan to party hop.  The selections are offered in Scholastic Teen Reader’s Club and Tab October.  You can order them through your language arts teacher, on-line via my web page under Breaking News, or drop by Rm 27 for an order form.  The first two come from Teen Reader’s Club Sea of Trolls (item # 68) and Septimus Heap…Magyk (item # 69).  The other two from Scholastic TAB October are Cracker (item # 17) and Boy who Dared (item # 12).  Don’t miss out on our literary adventures.

November: Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

Dates to remember: Friday, November 21, film viewing 7:00, Location TBA

Twilight Party: Mrs. Lancaster’s home, date TBA

December: Book TBA, Christmas Party, December 16.

For those of us who have to work, the later in the day the better for the meeting. I don’t get off work until 5, so would prefer to have the meeting starting then, but if the majority want something else, I will just contribute my ideas through this blog. Enjoy this month’s reads!

  10. Mrs. Haines Says:

I vote for 4:30-6….There are probably other people out there who work (like Mr. Haines), but also like to read and discuss books. I think later would work better.
